...served with Pineapple, Rice, Winter Melon Soup and a trio of Sauces. The chicken was very good; this skin thin, delicious and crunchy. It was quite a large lunch already, but I couldn't help thinking that this dish could be vastly improved with at least some vegetable!

I think the pineapple qualifies towards your daily fruit/vegetable quotient! Besides, you don't want veggies taking up space that could be getting filled with crispy chicken!

ReplyDeleteThat much pineapple probably would constitute a fair proportion of my daily fruit/vegetable quotient on the "Jay Diet Plan" wouldn't it?
Plus I think there's like Ginger in one of the sauces, Chilli in another... and don't forget the Winter Melon in the soup! It's like 80% of my daily needs right there!
